Liz Larin in Concert
May 20, 2007 Our next event
will be a concert donated by local singer and musician Liz
Larin. Liz is a
Birmingham native who has dominated the
Detroit Music Awards for three years in a row (winning 15
Detroit Music Awards, including Outstanding CD for her
previous “The Story of O-Miz”). Liz has demonstrated
her musical and personal strength, and her ability to touch
people profoundly. Her music is a blend of rock, pop
and R&B and appeals to listeners of all ages.
This promises to be a fantastic concert
and will be held in the Seaholm High School Auditorium in
Birmingham, MI on May 20 from 4:00-6:00pm. Liz has
written a song especially for the children at this event and
will invite the children to sing along with her.
This event is being held to raise money to
support Allie's Angels' project to renovate William Beaumont
Hospital's Pediatric Oncology Treatment Room.
Join us for an afternoon of great music
for all ages to enjoy, and help to support a very worthwhile
cause!

Day of Beauty
Our fourth annual Day of Beauty
was he ld this past May. The event was donated for the
third year by Lynn Gordon of Troy salon. The salon,
along with an entire crew of stylists, provided a fantastic
day! Twenty children suffering from serious illnesses
were treated to a day of pampering. The kids were
treated to haircuts and styles, makeup applications,
manicures, pedicures, gifts and a fabulous lunch. The
girls left feeling like princesses, and many of the parents
commented that they hadn't seen their children this happy in
a long time.
Locks of Love
- We also invite childr en who wish to donate their hair
to Locks of Love to attend our event and enjoy the special
pampering. Over 30 ponytails are collected each year!

Holiday Party Plate Painting
- December, 2005

The staff of Allie's Angels
brought this wonderful activity to the Beaumont Hospital
Pediatric Oncology Christmas party. Over 50 children
participated and painted plates with handprints, artwork and
signatures. We had the plates glazed and fired and
returned them to the children in time for the holidays.
The plates were beautiful and will be a lasting keepsake for
the children and their families. |

Allie's Angels Day
Allie's Angels Day 2004 -
September 26, 2004
Over 500 children and their
families joined together to create art kits for children
with cancer, paint a beautiful oil painting, and have fun.

A beautiful painting was created
by all the children who attended. This painting
started as a black and white outline copy of a stained glass
window created in Allie's memory. Healthy and sick
children took turns adding all of the color and their
special touches to make it a true masterpiece. This
painting is now a permanent fixture of Beaumont Hospital's
Pediatric Oncology Outpatient Clinic, and will be the
centerpiece of the procedure room makeover.

Children enjoyed airbrush face and body
painting, a magic show, carnival games with lots of prizes,
and lunch provided by Franks Anatra.
